学习路径与教学设施

第一年：重点学习计算机辅助设计、手绘、Adobe软件等工程与数字技能，打牢实践基础，同时强化英语能力。

第二至四年：按照爱丁堡龙比亚大学课程体系，学习设计研究与创新方法，完成团队项目与设计课题，培养独立设计能力与领导能力。

联合学院提供先进的工程与设计实验室、技术工作坊、设计工作室及数字建模空间，支持从概念设计到原型制作的全流程实践学习。

This programme adopts the international curriculum system of Edinburgh Napier University and deeply integrates China's manufacturing strengths with British design innovation concepts. It is committed to cultivating professional design talents with creative ability, cross-cultural design competence and a global perspective.

Learning Pathway and Teaching Facilities

Year 1: Students focus on engineering and digital skills including Computer-Aided Design, hand sketching and Adobe software, building a solid practical foundation while strengthening their English proficiency.

Years 2–4: Following Edinburgh Napier's curriculum system, students study design research and innovation methods, complete team projects and design briefs, and develop independent design and leadership capabilities.

The Joint College provides state-of-the-art engineering and design laboratories, technical workshops, design studios and digital modelling spaces, supporting the full process of practical learning from concept design to prototype production.

Teaching Approach

The programme adopts a studio-based teaching model that emphasises teamwork and clear role distribution, with design driven by user testing and research. Students engage in real design projects and industry briefs, systematically developing the following core competencies:

Students are encouraged to participate in international design competitions, cross-cultural design projects and real-world industry problem-solving. The final-year design major project requires students to conduct in-depth primary and literature research, fully demonstrating their comprehensive design abilities.
